Thursday Scripture Class at St. Irenaeus

The group affectionately called "The Bible Babes" is a group of women

who have studied scripture with Pat Egan-Myers for over 20 years. The group

has come and gone due to retirement, moves and death. We have had over 200

women who have studied the various books of the bible.

The class for the past 8 years has reflectred on the Sunday readings. We have many

discussions and reflections about the meaning of these texts in relation to the church

of today, the economy, the role of the government and the role of political leaders.

Our discussions lead to prayer and actions. We have supported many programs in the parish

such as S.O.S, OCIMA, and the St. Nick's and St. Rose parties.

The women have become prayer partners and wonderful students of world! Interested?
