Litturgy of the word with children:

What is it? Where do they go?
Liturgy of the Word with children is first and foremost a worship
experience for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Children
gather with their families for the opening rites of mass and remain
with them until after the Opening Prayer when the celebrant invites
them to come forward. The children walk in procession to their own
worship space, (the north overflow room) with the one commissioned
by the Celebrant to be the presider. The children experience the first
reading, sing a pslam response and a gospel acclamation, listen to the
gospel reading and taking part in the homily, the creed and the general
intercessions on their own level. The children return to the main assembly
in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. There is no registration required to
participate; just come!
Curious? Come celebrate Childrens Liturgy of the Word with us any
Sunday at the 10 or 11:30 masses. Come and observe and see what were all about!
