Help brighten a family’s Christmas through our Adopt-a-Family program!
Choose the family size that suits you—we will provide you with a wish list for a family (or an individual) including names, ages, sizes, and suggestions. If you would like to participate but are not able to do the shopping, we will gladly accept your monetary donation and send shoppers out to do the rest! Contact Cindy at 248-656-8720 to learn more!
We are adopting families through Jail and Outreach Ministry (JOM), Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan’s La Casa Amiga ministry, and Gianna House this year.
Our Jail and Outreach Ministry families may include victims of crime, families of the incarcerated, or other families in need in Pontiac and the surrounding neighborhood.
La Casa Amiga supports families in Pontiac and southeast Michigan, many of whom are immigrants or speak English as a second language. We have adopted families who have children in the La Casa Amiga tutoring and mentoring program, and from Project Hope.
Gianna House seeks to improve the lives of at-risk pregnant young women, mothers and their babies by providing them with the opportunity of a community-based environment that offers education, life skills training, and career planning that positively impact them, their children, and their families.
You can choose the size of the family you would like to adopt, and preview their wish lists.
Grace Centers of Hope (GCH) is a non-profit, Christian organization committed to positively changing the lives of the unwanted, addicted, and homeless through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, personal accountability, life skills education, and work-related programs.
GCH is one of the largest faith-based, long-term life skills programs for those afflicted by homelessness, chemical dependency, and abuse in southeast Michigan. Their Christian-based approach to life skills offers the community and accountability which is so critical for long-term success. They have a one-year life skills program for men and women, a childcare center, a career and education center, four thrift stores and 60 rehabbed multi-family homes in Pontiac to help graduates of their life skills program transition to healthy independence as part of their after-care program.
Individual men and women can be adopted from Grace Centers of Hope.
