Why can’t a donor edit a payment method?

Online Giving does not store credit card information for security reasons. However, a donor can edit an expiration date.

If a donor needs to edit the credit card number or bank account number(s), they should follow these steps:

1. Add the new payment method
2. Update the gift(s) to the new payment method
3. Delete the old payment method
